I have been able to ping my router, the cable modem and the DNS server but am unable to connect any other websites.

 
I doubt its related but my cable went out a couple days ago. They said that we were putting too much noise over the line for their upcoming VOIP service so they had to shut our cable down. They disconnected our splitter and actually gave us a new modem.

EDIT: I don't see how splitting the cable could have affected anyone else but ourselves but whatever, free modem. Only my sister doesn't have TV now 😛
