no problems here.

I've never cleaned the contacts. What works good for that? anything special?

Happens to me everyday. Takes at least a few minutes to get it to charge. Very annoying.

just give it a little push... and it goes.

Don't you hate it when you're gaming or something and the red light comes on? Well its probably only me since I keep on forgetting to charge it :p.

Yeah, I had the same problem, contatcts need cleaning. I justed used an e-xacto knife to scrape the corrosion off.

In a totally unexpected pitch, mine slid from the table and wound up falling on a chair and bouncing into a water pitcher. Waiting for it to dry out now. (V500).

Touchpads suck. The track stick isn't much better!

That sounds familiar...

I have to tilt mine and and kind of jostle it to get it to start charging. It's a little annoying but not worth giving up the mouse for.

Nope. And my MX700 is getting on towards 3 years old too. Never cleaned the contacts.

As someone already said, when that starts happening, clean the contacts on the mouse, and in the cradle with alcohol. Works like a charm...

You have to charge yours every day?

LOL laughable. No, I don't have to charge mine everyday but since it only is successful one out of five times, I have to play the odds. I end up replacing the batteries manually every few weeks.

FYI - Most people that have rechargable products, especially ones with cradles, charge them everyday.

I had the same problem with mine... If you put it in gently, and sideways... instead of putting it in the cradle directly infront of you, try putting it in sideways, and allow it to seat properly.

Remember when all those rave reviews on the MX700 were coming out? none of them bothered to mention this very irritating problem. Also, I've never really understood why people like this mouse so much. it's not all that, is it? I don't even like the way it looks.

I have this problem and it didn't occur until about a year and a half into its use. I have to tilt mine to the left to get the damn thing to charge and if that doesn't work, it's time to clean the contacts. It's starting to get worse so I'll be picking up an MX510 soon.

yup, only $150 AUD over a year ago, and it's still selling for nearly that now :)

I like the keyboard too, apart from it could be a bit stiffer...but you can't have it all i guess :p

I got my MX Duo almost 2 years ago now and have never had an issue and have never cleaned the contacts, on a side note I've never once changed out the batteries on my keyboard either and can't belive that it keeps working, good sh!t!
