I only play a few games, but this is my favorite, and dangit, now that i got my Radeon 8500, it keeps locking up!!
I also have Unreal Tournament, and that runs great...same with 3dmark. So....I figure that this game should too.
I have feeling it's that old ATI driver problem people keep talking about, because it ran ok with my Geforce 2 (now in my girlfriend's computer....don't think I can get it back now
........ Now that installed the 8500....lock ups constantly!Actually, I like the look of the Radeon 8500 better, the colors are more vivid...web pages look better on the internet. So, not that I really want to get rid of it anyhow. But, I am frustrated that my favorite game won't run now.
I've tried new 8500 drivers, turning off my antivirus program, put the latest drivers and bios for everything on my computer. Still locks up....so I'm stumped.
And I even reformatted and reinstalled Windows 98 because of the registry problems between Nvidia and ATI.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
