Well, the reason I was asking was that I was looking for an alternative to Windows Media Player.

I figure, it's the 3rd party software that has to compete so that should be an incentive to produce better products, or else who would buy them. Plus, I installed this one MS program that was a wallpaper changer and it sucked so bad that it makes me think of what kind of crap they also pull in other things. I could be missing out.

Get VLC, it plays just about anything.

It's free.

What OS are you running? I downloaded it for Win2k and Linux over the weekend with no problems. I downloaded it for XP home last week with no problems.

Winxp, since I here it's so bad, then I might not get it.

But it's still bothers me when I can't.

If I try downloading it on windows explorer, all the links are marked with Xs.

You sure you don't have any spyware?

Well I have tried many different players, and I would definitely say realplayer has lots of good features like any other player, but it was pretty buggy for me. Plus it's more or less spyware.

I stick to winamp for online radio and WMP for everything else if I can.
