Anyone else have this problem with PM and nVidia?

I just did a fresh install of Win98 using a Creative Labs Geforce 2 GTS video card. I was using a Voodoo3 3000, and since my Win98 installation was almost 2 years old, I decided to reformat using the new card. After the install of win98, I loaded the INF file for my monitor and updated the video drivers using the 12.41 reference drivers. Everything works great except for power management (PM). I don't have an option to "Turn off Monitor". If you look here, you'll notice what I'm talking about. It only has the System Standby and hard disk option, the monitor option is no where to be found. What happens is the monitor will go into standby mode (screen goes black) after 15 minutes of inactivity. I want my monitor on all the time. I have no idea where is 15 minutes is coming from. In the bios, I have it all disabled. WTF?

The monitor option was there when I first installed Win98 fresh. It only disappeared after I changed the driver to the 12.41 reference drivers from nVida. The exact same thing happend to my son after he installed Win98 fresh also. The option returns if I choose the standard VGA driver (yuk). Any idea how to get the "Turn Monitor Off" option back using the nVidia drivers? Anyone else seen this before?😕

It's not the video card drivers because I have the option to have it turn off my monitor with the 12.41's. What you need to do is to go into the system BIOS and change the PM options to either "OFF" or "ON." See what that does.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, in the bios, I have it set to off, then on, with no change. What is really weird (which is why I suspect the nVidia drivers), is if I select the standard vga driver, it shows up. WTF? Also, I've gone into safe mode and deleted the monitor, the rebooted and had windows re-dectect the monitor, but the No Monitor option is still missing. I'm using an Abit BF6 mobo with a PIII 600.
