Anyone else have this problem with firefox?

Whenever i refresh a page in firefix it always takes me down lower than where i was on the page before. This is very annoying when im on a forum and i have to scroll up looking for where i was before.

yep, this is the only problem i have with firefox but its pretty annoying since i spend most of my time on the internet on forums.

Is that with particular sites or all websites in general? I'm trying to reproduce the same program on these forums but the refresh takes me back to the same place on the page.

I'm fairly sure I don't have this problem. Are you sure the url you've loaded is to a thread, rather than a post in a thread?

I has same problem like yours and my other complain was that it takes little while to load it up.

It's to a thread. Go to a thread that gets new posts frequently. Stay in one spot for a few mins, then refresh the page... you will end up at a different post than where you left off. In IE, it will return you to the same post down that thread, no matter how many new replies were made.

Yeah, a feature that was removed from Firefox a while back (in the Phoenix or Firebird days). It stays in memory and pre-loads a lot of stuff so that Mozilla launches almost instantaneously.

I can reproduce this in a Mozilla nightly, and filed bug 278739 with a testcase and details on how to reproduce it.
