anyone else have taskbar on top?

i like having my taskbar on top - it is a bit more convenient since the common window controls (minimize/close) and the menus & toolbars of all windows are on the top anyway, so less mouse movement accross the screen if you have your most used controls together at the top.

anyway, what is annoying is that there are quite a few programs out there that open up windows with their title bar underneath the taskbar! Wouldn't you think windows would perhaps know to adjust the allowable drawing area by moving it x pixels down where x is the height of the taskbar?

perhaps there's a windows setting or tweak i can do to prevent this?

Macs taskbar is at the top by default. 😉

I'm a topper as well. Have been for years, unlikely to ever change. Only occasionally does a program title bar get stuck beneath the taskbar. In that case, right click, properties, uncheck keep taskbar on top, drag program away from screen edge, recheck for taskbar on top. Otherwise most programs do fine so it's no big deal.
