Anyone else have problems logging into the Forums here with Opera 8.51?

I initially logged in to the forums here last night and now can't seem to log out or in. While Mozilla continues to work just fine.

Always been fine with Opera 8.5 and 9.0 beta for me. Try clearing Opera cache/cookies?

Thanks.

I cleared the anandtech cookies and the cache and I was able to log out, but I've not been able to log in again.

Tools --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Cookies --> (third party cookies) Select "Accept all cookies" and check "Accept cookies with incorrect paths"

I've never had a problem with it on 4 computers, had to do the above on a fifth to get it working correctly though.

Yes, referrer logging is checked.

This morning I was able to log in once and log out. Then I couldn't log in again.

See if it works with Opera 9/default settings? Not sure...

Are you using "ad blockers" (proxies)?

(Opera 9 is like identical to 8.5)

Thanks.

Opera 9 is still in beta, isn't it? I try not to run beta stuff on my main machine... And I'm not using ad blockers (except what comes built into Opera) or proxies. I do use that popular HOSTS file from the web that short-circuits a lot of ads, etc. But that works just fine with the other browsers I use (Mozilla 7.x and IE on a rare occasion).

I was able to log in again this morning and to play it safe, I haven't bothered to try logging out...

Oh, I think I know what it may be. I think Opera keeps a cached version of the page once you log in or something so it appears you're still logged in when you're really not. I've had that happen before. I just keep my self logged in all the time and I have no problem.
