Its nice that they are claiming to refund my 5 dollar shipping charge, but they took over a week to ship my product, and it was only after I sent an email that they realized there error. Last time it was "your credit card address didnt go through correctly" claimed by them, while I was looking at my CC online and saw a temp auth from them signifying it went through. This company definitely has some issues to work through.
 
At least they reply to your emails and make an attempt at fixing the problems.
They could be like those other places and conveniently forget you exist.
 
they're not newegg but they're far and away better than joe's bait n' switch shack
 
i never really had a problem w/ 'em....except when they packaged all the wires i ordered within the packaging popcorn (w/o a separate package or anything...i had to dump the popcorn to look for the wires)...

other than that, i'm pretty happy w/ them...
 
Never had a problem with them but have heard they have been going through a rough time lately. Still a great place.
 
I got 2 cc lamps that didn't work and I've been waiting 3 weeks for replacements (since they received my rma).

My first order from them.
 
i had the same thing happen.

bought 2 cases, they only shipped one. call them and only get their dumb automated message. email them. no response. email them again. finally. telling me it will be credited back to me. 2 weeks later. see a credit on my cc.

i've ordered from them before and there were no problems but just that one time.

Agreed. I've ordered from SVC 3x, and they've always been awesome. Same-day shipping, no shipping charge gouging, etc. :
 
Has anyone RMA'ed anything to them? What do I do after I get my RMA # and how long does it take for them to answer my email?

I've ordered from them twice now. The first order came without a hitch, but the second one didn't ship for the longest time, so I called them and got a human nice and quick. He said for some reason the order didn't ship, and that they didn't have one of the fans I ordered in stock anymore. So he tried to work with me to change my order, but I decided to cancel and order again. That order went through without a hitch.

They credited my card quickly and painlessly, and I have no complaints. Companies make mistakes; it's inevitable. They corrected my problem quickly and painlessly, which more than makes up for the error.

you must go around looking for the bad threads only then. there has been a lot more good than bad said about SVC here. BUT still irrelevant.

In his case IT WASN'T BAD. EVERYONE including Newegg or Mwave or whoever your favorite Vendor is makes mistakes. what makes a vendor good or bad is not because they make mistakes but how they deal with them once you inform them of that mistake. He clearly said, they made a mistake he pointed it out and they CORRECTED it. what more did he expect?

hmm, 6.x or so, not the best, but WAIT, they've been improving. hmmmm. month of february they had their highest rating yet. hmmmm.

for a reseller that has a LOT more bad said about it than good, they are fairing SURPRISINGLY well.

if they are a BAD vendor, Just what would you call a GOOD vendor??
 
SVC is on the up and up again. They had some growing pains but they are very legit and very respectable now IMO. 9.33 on resellerratings this month. 6.9 total.
 
I've ordered from them about 4 or 5 time total. They messed up all the orders except for one. However, when I called they always corrected the mistake and have even credited me for my troubles. They have some of the fastest shipping I have ever seen. they are in CA and I am in GA and I get my stuff in 2 days most of the time.
If you are ordering something and it is critical you get it soon, then you take a gamble something might be left out or wrong size, etc.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

The above link is to a hot deals thread right here on anandtech that has been locked. Looks like SVC's still having the same problems. In addition, they are attempting to BRIBE customers to give them high reseller ratings. that explains their increase in ratings now, doesn't it...

I consider newegg, tcwo, and light-mods good vendors. Thank you very much, I am done with this thread.
