I have had them a couple of times. My current batch is getting pretty damn big. :Q

I was thinking about trying to feed one to my Venus Fly Trap :D

yeah, I used to have sea monkeys. I bought this home kit and bred them...they're pretty cool. but they die quickly, like all of my other pets

btw, those venus fly trap seems so awesome, where can I buy one? are they expensive? and is it a hassle to take care of them (such as feeding...no way am I going to kill flies myself and feed it to the venus fly trap).

Yep, they are a salt water species of brine shrimp. I bread fish for pet stores when I was in High School. I bought a 5lb jar of eggs.....after several years of use, I think there was 4.9 lbs remaining! Btw, they come dried and are like flour. You raise them in salt water so you need to take care what fish you feed them as some species any amount of salt is deadly.

Tominator: It's amazing the amount of salt that is used in the brine when you raise brine shrimp. I used to work in a pet store and when mixed the brine I had to use a massive amount of salt in the mix. It's so salty that when you feed it to salt water fish, you can see the difference in the water if some gets in the tank (I always strain the brine before feeding). They are actually pretty amazing, the dried eggs remain viable for years and still hatch when the conditions are right.

They are little creatures that are usually sold via magazine ads and are sold as eggs I believe. They live in salt water I guess. I have never owned them so correct me if i'm wrong.

I used to have a fly trap but it just died. We tried feeding it but it never really ate, and its mouth never really worked properly either :(
