Anyone else have broadband... but are on dialup now?!?

I'm entering my third week without broadband, and 56k is really slow and annoying but I'm getting by rather well. TWC guy will come for the third time next week to take a look at my wiring outside the home. Meh.

I will soon feel this pain in which you speak. My connection here at the dorm is great, but 56k has me lamenting the holidays like its the end of the world...hehe... but its only temporary. I'll at least still be able to nef it up here, so i'll survive.

Been on dialup at home since beginning of July. Always connect at just over 50k. It's painful, but I live. It was unavailable (BB) at the time, but since August it's been available and that month basically refocused me on things such that, although I hate dialup, I don't quite hate it enough to pay the extra $30/month for broadband. most of what i do on the net is banking, anandtech, news, etc. so other than kazaa downloading broadband isn't THAT much better. I do bemoan my existence when I download multiple pages and surfing is definitely slower, but you'll get used to it. I have BB at work.
