So when I bought my Qwest Mogul last November on craigslist for 245 bucks I had no clue that it had an Internal GPS chip. I knew that that the mogul had capability of adding an external GPS but when I found out there was an Internal GPS I had to take the chance to do something with it.
I was browsing around and saw Qwest's ROM upgrade through HTC (The company that makes the mogul/firmware) and downloaded that and installed it. After that, the internal GPS "Drivers" are basically enabled on the device and programs can utilize the Internal GPS on the COM4 port.
I got myself a copy of TomTom Navigator 6 and this other GPS viewer software. I now activate the GPS viewer to get the GPS up and running so TomTom can detect it and then I fire it up.
Now I can drive in my car and it will tell me where to go JUST like a standalone GPS, I'm not the type of person that needs GPS in my car at all times but I must say that it will be convenient to have when I'm on long trips.
