I have everything on performance too, because the visual effects arent worth the extra half second to see a toolbar tip fade in. I use everything classis, including the taskbar, and start menu, anyone else not like the windows xp theme. It just seems to get old fast, but I dont think the classic theme gets old at all.

you can get it so that no window animations happen, and it helps speed. no i don't like the new winxp interface.

I would actually like the XP theme just fine if it came in more than three colors. But looking at the same old three XP color schemes gets old.

Use Tweak UI to disable individual windows animations that you don't like in order to improve overall speed, without doing away with the ones you do like.

My computer isn't running on a dorito so i can afford to have a visual style and not have it slow down.

If you give the newer interface a try, it's actually more efficient. Things are located in better places and more accessable.

Like multiple IE windows when they are grouped on the taskbar?

That drives me insane. I'm using a friend's computer tonight, and they have taskbar grouping turned on. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

i use a very minimalistic theme as well. very easy on the eyes, no clutter, and its fast. functions as well as the classic theme, but looks a little bit cooler in my opinion. i cant stand the winxp theme, its really harsh on the eyes for some reason. too fancy i guess. looks kind of cartoonish.

Absolutely. Classic theme forever. I use 2k at work, and going back, the only thing I miss is windows pic&fax viewer, and I don't need that very often at work.
