Anyone else hate Pirates of the Caribean?

didn't very strong feelings for it one way or the other.

I didn't feel like I wasted my money by seeing it in the theater, but it's nothing I'd ever watch again, buy on dvd, or recomend to someone else.

my new years resolution is to start using "savy?" as away of checking for agreement, like depps character in that movie.

savy?

yea i definitly did. They made the pirate Captain a homo. And pirates are not supposed to be gay

I'm sure there were gay pirates. But they probably kept it to themselves so they wouldn't get killed by homophobes.

I'm not sure I feel right about laughing at you.

Anyway, I liked it.

I found it totally implausible. I mean, come on. It's a known fact that Legolas the elf sailed away to the Undying Lands mellenia before pirate days. The Carribean is obviously not one of the Undying Lands. Even if you could somehow rationalize the Valar sending him back Glorfindel-style, I really doubt that being a blacksmith's apprentice would be his god-given mission, and he most certainly would not have gotten mixed up with pirates. Shoddy fanfic at best.

I thought that was an incredible movie. One of my all time favorites. Johny's character was awesome they way he was half drunk, half gay.... or whatever he was supposed to be....

That about sums it up. Depp wasn't his usual great self with Legolas being terrible as usual. All in all, just on par.

I actually enjoyed the POTC pc game much better, although not as much as I'll enjoy the real Sea Dogs 2. 🙂
