Anyone else hate it when people leave AIM messages for you and then sign off?

Just got back from watching the packers suck over at a friends house. If youre going to leave messages to people who are away, its nice to stay online so they can respond later

Anyone annoyed by this or am I a wierdo?

if they're like "hi," and sign off like a second later, then that is rude. otherwise, it's normal and people shouldn't be waiting forever for you to return. but they should leave a message if they see that you're away.

With girl friends (notice the space) - I hate it when they do this.

and i am just like WTF - i just typed the "good" of my "good night" reply.

sometimes they're really sleepy and dont want to wait for u to respond. for all they know, u wont be back for another five minutes.
