Anyone else happy that the overrated teams are gone?

I'm specifically talking about the media darlings (fanboi teams) of USC, Notre Dame and Cal...

It's great to be a Florida Gator (btw I love UCLA :))

The only reason I'm pulling for Florida is because I want to see them slaughtered in the National Championship game.

EDITED: For clarity.

Yup. But I really hope Michigan gets back to #2. While I really think Florida should get a shot, I realistically think Michigan will be the only competitive team against OSU. They only lost by a few points and they have game film on them now, head to head. It would be an awesome game even if the result was the same.

Thank you :). Even if it'd be different, split title give me a break...It's called Bowl Championship Series for one reason - the Champions from conferences should get a shot not the runner-ups...

Even if Michigan did go and won so they won once and lost once what would that accomplish? I really see a strong push for a playoff system really, really soon. Especially if USC would have won. You'd then have 4 teams that would be legit contenders for the Championship game. Honestly, a four team playoff would solve it as I've mentioned in previous threads - I'd rather see a mistake in picking between 4 or 5 than between 2 or 3.
