Anyone else grow a crop of weed plants this summer?

They are almost ready for chopping down.. Neighbour asshole has a bylaw officer coming by tomorrow to inspect his property because he can't control the garbage on his property...so i'm now forced to take all my plants inside until this is over.

Either way, weed for the rest of year and beyond

I was on a job that got raided a couple weeks ago. Helicopters flying over the cornfields, and douchebags on the ground cutting them out. Glad we have so much money, we can pay for all that aviation fuel and a pilot stopping those evil weeds from growing :^S

i'm just worried about the punks that went back to school...i got 3 more weeks of growing...its pretty hidden but there is still lots of angst filled nights worried about my babies.

This reminds me I need to build my germination box. I want to try to grow stuff like tomatoes for fun. They make grow LED strips now, too. Can just line the whole top with them and add some CFLs for extra light/heat.

I do hope they legalize weed here though, it's taking an awful long time for Trudeau to talk about it. I just think it's ridiculous the amount of resources used on the war on drugs and how ridiculous the sentences are. That stuff needs to stop. Nobody is getting hurt from drugs alone unless they overuse them and that's their own problem, like alcohol. It's all the other crime that surrounds it, and that crime is already illegal, so punish those people, not the basic users minding their own business.

Its no secret, Overseas, UK has tons of mail order places. If you are in NJ I would move out of that draconian state asap, Even wash DC its legal for under 2 ounces or 6 plants.

I'm in Spain here and the law is INCREDIBLY VAGUE. Mind you, I am not using but I love growing. Seed stores EVERYWHERE here, you can get seeds for €1

We were in the firm belief that growing for personal use (and if not visible to the public) is "legal", or so at least many websites said. So we grew 7 plants recently in my greenhouse on the balcony.

Fast forward (or back, if you will), in May. Door bell rings, it's the GUARDIA CIVIL. (sort of military police here in Spain)

Make a long story short, they said 7 plants are "too much", so they took them but fortunately I could keep my custom made lights and everything else. (The lights alone cost me like €1000 ...)

Had to go to the station, they took a report etc.....but as it looks, it's probably never going anywhere and likely dropped. (This was back in May and we hadn't heard a thing from them).

Anyway...I am growing now 1 (yes ONE) plant for wife for medical use.

Still baffled how they found out..they said "a neighbor complained because of the smell", which was retarded since the plants were not even in flower.

Edit: Here in my area in Spain, there is HUGE activity by "commercial" illegal growers and also huge "gang" activity of weed getting smuggled from here to the UK and elsewhere. Commercial growing and selling of course is highly illegal and has a mandatory prison sentence. When the cops where here in our house, we had the impression that they realized at some point the triviality of it...so they left and didn't even want my lights etc.

yeah, it's in the cards reallllllllly soon. i hate this state. my tenant died of cancer because he wasn't allowed to try alternative treatments (insurance aint gonna cover it).

We are finally able to legally grow now (if you have medical prescription) but the laws at the moment aren't well laid out. I believe it's 3-4 plants outside or 10 inside and you are required to purchase your seeds from the licensed producer that you purchase your weed from. I haven't seen any being offered yet though.

I would visit one of the hundreds of website that have complete tutorials. Make sure you know your state's laws. You don't want your house seized.

I doubt they'd catch me. I saw some boxes with carbon filters so that should take care of the smell.

There would have to be some extraordinary circumstances for them to raid my 2nd floor unit. My tenants are on the first floor and are elderly.

But this is all speculation anyway. I probably won't do this but it sucks that I can't even grow my own for medical purposes. It's not like I'd even smoke the stuff. Ah well.
