Anyone else going to school this semester?

I'm trying to wrap up my Master's degree in Mathematics this year, so I'm taking three classes this semester. It's going to be brutal, but I'd like to get this done finally. I've already gotten my first syllabus, apparently we're going to have lots of end-of-class quizzes. Two of the classes are in the middle of the day, so there will be lots of gear shifting from work to school to work again.

Ah well, I view it as recreation time, because I really do enjoy it.

Anyone else taking any classes? If so, what are you going for?

My school does a lot of the same kind of crap. I always have to send out several emails and make calls to get enrolled. Sometimes being the squeaky wheel works. I hope you can get it sorted out.

Nope been done for a bit over 10 years. Glad that part of my life is over. Crazy how fast time goes though.

Funny thing I still get school related dreams sometimes. Nothing like waking up in panic realizing you forgot to do an assignment or study for a test, then realize you're not in school anymore and don't have to worry. :p

I don't like school. If I don't have an immediate need for information, I find learning tedious. There's some exceptions. I always enjoyed history, but I don't need to pay someone to teach me that, especially since it won't give any financial return.

Yeah, I've had people tell me that I could just learn the stuff on my own, which is mostly true, but I'm way behind in not having a Master's degree. I might as well get credit for what I'm doing. I should probably go for the PhD next, but I don't know if I have it in me. I'm in my 30s and my job is demanding and stressful.

Math's practical at least. I occasionally give some thought about taking classes, or even going back in time and doing everything differently, and I draw a blank. I enjoy computers, but that means I'd be inside doing corporate bullshit. Civil engineering's kind of meh. I'm not artistic(great regret). I'm not a good teacher... I just don't know, and the thought going somewhere for busywork is really unappealing ...

I go to lots of schools but, in all honesty, I like going to them when you pesky students aren't around. Parking is easier and crowds at restaurants are much smaller.

Planning on going. But I need to get some financial aid first. In all honesty I'm scared of failing. What a waste that would be.
