I am. Didn't want to wait another week to see who gets voted off on the next episode of Survivor.

not having to walk past kids on the way to school was nice, though the fifteen thousand crossing guards my town employs were all still in place for whatever reason.

I don't get it.

we have a traffic light on every corner. literally, every single corner in my town has a traffic light. even the retarded intersections like a T connecting 2 1-way, low-traffic streets. why do we also need crossing guards at every single corner?

I am, because it means the phone will stop ringing, and the commercials on television will vanish.

Are you still watching Richard Hatch walk the beach nude?

What? They're STILL making Survivor?

Shens...people can't possibly be so stupid as to continue watching that kind of crap on television...

I am however, glad that today's election day. I get to go and take part in the act that is one of the best things about America. I get to vote for the candidates that those in power have decided best support their interests...and I get to vote against Prop 19.

Best of all, it will mean no more political ads on television or by mail...I get tons of political junk mail every day...all of which must have name and address removed before it goes into the trash.

Because no one complains? Because even if they did complain, removing the crossing guards would put people's precious teenagers in jeopardy of J-walking?

hopefully it means the crap will be ratcheted down, but i doubt it. the crap will be ratcheted up so much after this... and by february we'll start hearing about republican presidential candidates for an election that won't take place for another 20 months after that.

seems like we've been in an election cycle continuously since mid 2005.
