i'm not a fan of hockey but because I know how I would feel if the NFL season was cancelled i feel for their fans, so no i'm not glad. i'm not particularly sad about it but...

Same here. I don't like hockey, but it doesn't bother me at all. I feel sorry for the fans.

So you are happy there are lots of people now without jobs?

I am not an avid hockey fan, I watch it on occassion. I'm a bit sad that hockey is not being played this season (it is our country's top sport) but i'm not happy it's "over".

if you don't like it, don't watch it. Think of the people who make a living at it. Sure some are being paid way too much. But you also have to remember, a hockey player's life is very short. they don't go past 35 or so.

I am sad, for sure. Love hockey. Played in HS and Coached for 7 years. But, when it does return it needs lots of help. Eliminate the red line, touch up offsides, stop the clutching and obstruction once and for all. Heck, penalize those that use the NZ trap.. I am a purist, but for it to be successful (watchable on tv) it needs major rule changes.

ESPN shows more basketball highlights than anything and I'm sick of it. Oh look... great, it's March madness. Hey here's a sport where they score 50 times a game... when do we actually cheer ? Simple game for simple people I guess.

Hey where were you in the Lockout thread that ran about 20+ pages ?

Anyway, to be watchable on tv, people need to wake the fvck up, because it's a black puck on white ice. I don't understand those people. I'd definitely like to see some more rule changes for the good of offensive chances though.

I like hockey, but I hope this destroys the league and in 1-2 years, a leaner league with affordable ticket prices and top salaries of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 comes in and takes its place.

NHL and NHLPA are both too fat and bloated for their own good.
