Anyone else getting pop-up ads?

There have been over 20 threads on this in the off topic forums. The MODS are locking all of the up...
By the way, yes. A lot of people are getting them everytime they change their page.
 
Oh my god these ads are G4Y. I don't think i can contiunue going to anandtech if they keep these ads. I mean, do that have to have them pop to up EVERY page? couldn't they just do it on the homepage?
 
If you wanna get rid of the popups plus the banner at the top go to webwasher.com and download the program, works like a charm.
 
i dont see why they started this... i mean everyone hates popup's especially "debit consolidation".. its like yuppie porn heh.. not something i would expect to see on anandtech ::sigh::...

I shouldn't have to download a third party program to not have to deal with the banners... Anandtech has sold out to "the man" (resorting to pop-up banners that is).

Bad move, hope their gone soon.
 
Anand hates pop-ups as much as we do, they will be gone as soon as possible, he does not directly handle the advertising here, but he does take care of getting rid of stuff like these adds 🙂
 
Well, as soon as I see pop up ads I DISABLE "Active Scripting" in IE and relaunch IE. It is like magic, all the ads are gone. 😉
 
Personally, I've found the banner ads to be informative and usefull. The information and opportunities contained in the links on these ad's has helped me to realize.. ahhh, screw it, who am I kidding?? popups suck!
