Anyone else getting duplicate Action Center notifications in W10?

I am fully updated to the most recent Cumulative Update and am getting duplicate notifications in the Action Center.

For example, when Cortana alerts me to the most recent Atlanta Braves final score it pops up twice. When Facebook alerts me that someone has responded to a post of mine it pops up twice. It's like this with every app I have installed except the default W10 mail app which seems to only send out one alert for each individual email received as it should.

This is happening on both my desktop and my Stream 7 tablet...both of which are fully updated as I mentioned.

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue (or has heard of it) and if so if they could give me some idea how to fix it.

TIA.

Still having this issue on both my PC and tablet even after the Anniversary Update.

Google search shows pretty much no one else having this issue so I am at a loss as to what could be causing it.

Are both the tablet and desktop using the same MS Account?

There was a video I watched about the Redstone 1 update, it talked about "Cloud" notifications - being sent to "all your devices". Maybe the Tablet is generation notifications, and sending the to your desktop, and your desktop is generating notifications, and sending them to your tablet?

Is your mail client set up on both devices too, or only one of them?

Yes...both the PC and tablet are using the same MS account. And yes...the mail client is set up on both as well.

Seems weird though that only these two things seem to do it. Twitter app is set up on both using the same account and I only get one Twitter notification instead of duplicate ones.

I'll take a look at that in the light of day. Thanks.

I know you mentioned fully updated, but I want to single out the Anniversary Update. Do you have this one (it would update you to release 160715-1616) and did this issue start around the time you installed it?

According to winver I am on version 1607 build 14393.82.

And this issue started before I installed the Anniversary Update and seemed to just randomly start as I can't think of anything I changed that would have caused it to start.

Before the 1607 update I sometimes would see duplicate messages, however this condition has cleared with the installation of 1607. It happened primarily with apps that accessed the location feature such as the weather channel.

Well Cortana seems to be the only one giving me duplicates anymore...she gives me the Atlanta Braves final score twice every single time...which considering the state of the team right now is an asshole move if you ask me.

Think I may have finally fixed it...on my PC I removed the handful of teams I was following with Cortana and re-added them and it seems that has corrected the issue on both the PC and my HP Stream 7 tablet. For the last two days I have only received one Braves final score notification per device.
