Hello Amused,

I am a staff member of Wildfire Games, and we are looking for moderators for our new forum community: http://forums.wildfiregames.com

I was wondering if you were interested in a potential moderator position. Our forum community isn't very big at the moment, so the "time investment" for moderating isn't very large.

If you are interested, please reply!

Kinda gassy at the moment, but that's another issue.

I thought the PM was strange. I don't know this guy. I thought it may be spam. If others aren't getting it on a wide scale, then maybe not.

Being a mod on a small forum isn't fun. It's more fun to be a mod on a big forum (like here) because there are more little people to crush!

No, I haven't received it.

However, I do not believe there are any reasons to believe it's a spam. To begin with, his forum isn't a competitor of AT. The person perhaps observed your posts, and he found you to be a good candidate for his forum. Hence, he wrote you privately.

I doubt it will happen now that you've published the message, though. A good publicity for the site, nonetheless.

I got the same message from nbarb99, although I ran it through a translator and it came out like this:

Hi, we have a bunch of ad clicks to sell, and we figured your mouse would work fine for that. Please join our forum right away.

I think someone's gonna get coal in his/her stocking. ;)

I got that pm from him too, but I wrote back telling him that I didnt want to do it and he sent me back a nice pm. I agree that he is a spammer, but he does seem like a nice guy.
