So for the past year, I've gotten around 10-15 text messages on my phone that are from the Philippines. They're all in Tagalog, so I can't understand a word of it, but I just found out from T-Mobile that they cost me 35 cents each time I receive them. I ask them if they can somehow block the phone number they're coming from, but the only way to do that is to disable text messaging altogether.

How bogus is that? I'm basically at the mercy of whoever is in the Philippines to not message me anymore. Bah to T-Mobile.

It pisses me off to no end that these providers charge for RECIEVING messages. Some wanker sitting on a computer could easily rack you up a multi-thousand dollar phone bill in an hour.

If you don't mind, type the message here. I've received several myself and most, if not all, of them were sent to the wrong person. I just replied back and voila - never heard from them again.

It's supposed to be a really big problem in asia. I'm mad enough about email spam.... the day I start getting cell phone spam, it's hunting season.

Call up and yell at the phone company, it seems to work for some people with this issue

Ah, I don't have them on hand. I switched phones recently(went from a T720i to a V300). I'm Filipino anyway so my mom had translated them for me. It was something about someone needing to pay bills but not having any money because they spent the money on groceries. Somehow they'd get the money from their mother. It was pretty weird.

Ridiculous.
