OMg.. My computer is totally jacked and I had AVG goin too.

HOw do you get your start page back in IE first?

Nothing seems to work

Update:

Great.... I restarted my computer and now I can't boot Windows

Just get a blue screen

Argh. In Linux now

But I need some Windows Apps. (namely Audition)

I have no idea how "Who was the forum member who blogged his trip around the world?" and having a jack up computer are in any way related.

edit: i understand now.

also try these steps:

1.) turn off system restore and then
2.) update your virus definitions
3.) turn off computer, fire it up and press F8 to go into safe mode
4.) run a full scan of your computer in safe mode.
5.) finally check your start keys in the registry and make sure there are no extra entries. check both current_user and HKLM...

that should fix it right up.

if you have a recent system restore snapshot you can also return to that, it should fix it for you. I didn't have a recent one created and had to do the steps, but symantec blocked it all for me...whew!
