I usually get 6-7 hours of sleep during the week and I try to sleep in on the weekends. Almost regularly, if I get 9+ hours, I'll wake up with a splitting headache. Drinking lots of water, making myself a cup of coffee, and going back to sleep for another hour or so will usually resolve it, but in cases like this morning (and maybe one weekend-day a month), I'll have to take vicodin to ease the pain enough that I can even fall back asleep.

Anyone else get these? I'll have to remember to set my alarm for 6am tomorrow morning to avoid a headache I guess...

Nope, I can sleep from 4-5 hours to 12 hours and get up a little dehydrated. My days and nights meld into each other sometimes, and I get an extra day out of it. I live like I'm still in College sometimes lol.

I think I got that a couple of times, but usually oversleeping (say 12 hours) just makes me groggy the whole day.

Could be dehydration giving you the headache. Drink a glass of water when you go to sleep. Coffee is a diuretic so it does contribute some to it, but probably not at the cup-a-day level.

That happens to me. It's my sinuses. The gunk gets into places it shouldn't be in my ears and other sinus cavities and gives me headaches for a few days. It's terrible.
