Anyone else find Madden 06 for XBOX 360 thoroughly vexing?

Talk about half-baked launch titles...
There are so many issues with this game its hard to list so I thought I'd start a thread for everyone's annoyances...

1) when the CPU defense shifts and linebackers move up to the line the linemen just slide, rather than move over themselves

2) QB throw pressure is really erratic, I find it extremely difficult to get my touch across on this game...this is coming from a 05 player who played on all-madden and could go without losing a game all season.

3) they make field goals from beyond 50 yards ALL the time. you have to keep them outside your 35 or more otherwise they might drop one in for 3

4) LACK OF CHALLENGES?

5) # of QB fumbles

I think they put that game together on a weekend. I hope the ps3 version of madden this year is much better. Of I'll be sticking with the ps2 one instead.

EA is completely rewriting Madden for the next-gen (PS3, 360, Revolution). This year's 360 version was the first and alot of features didn't make it because of time constraints. However, this is the base that all the next-gen consoles will be sharing for the next few versions.

I gave up on Madden along time ago for that reason. I'm even starting to lose faith in NCAA Football. EA's sports games are going from being fun to being a PITA.

How many more years do we have to deal with the agreement EA made with the NFL? It really sucks that ESPN got bullied out.

EA AI blows. they just cheat.

Every NFS game ever created has had cheating bastard AI. I remember the very first version I got on PC that ran on my P133 system in which it was almost IMPOSSIBLE to win.

I don't like QB vision.

I'm not exactly sure what its used for....wnat to clue me in?

It's to make it harder for a QB to roll out one way and then all of a sudden pass it across the field and complete the pass. Wherever you have the Field Vision pointed to, the more likely you'll complete the pass.

EA Games are originally designed for playstation and adapted for all other platforms. It doesn't suprise me that errors crop up.

2k Sports... not ESPN. EA is using the ESPN name/logo in their games.

Actually someone from 2k Sports said on G4TV that they already had a football game in development that didn't use NFL teams or players, and that they had a whole story with the history of their new pretend league. He said the fact that EA got the exclusive rights to the NFL teams and players only helped them to make the decision to get that game finished and out the door... didn't necessarily spoil any plans they had.
