anyone else find it ridiculous how much CPU activesync uses?

wcescomm.exe is one of the activesync components and is CONSTANTLY using between 5 and 10% of my CPU resources. The only thing that uses more resources than that on a regular basis is task manager if i have it open. Even Cool Monitor uses less CPU and it constantly scans the system for stats.

What could activesync possibly be running to need that much CPU power? Anyone else annoyed with this?

wcescomm.exe actually does not use any CPU time at all on my PC and WcesMgr uses up to 50 % for about one second during the syncronisation process, you might want to check for trojans or updates.

are you using version 3.7.1? I scanned for trojans and nothing came up. And 3.7.1 is the newest version i think...

I have activesync as well, and like Boran, it only spikes during connection with my PDA, but after that it's pretty much at 0.

I'm not sure what version i have, but it's the newest one, i just reinstalled activesync about 2 weeks ago.
