Anyone else find Caffeine relaxing?

After seeing the Poll about Coke vs. Pepsi, and reading the caffeine FAQ I had to wonder if caffeine relaxes anyone else. I always feel more relaxed after a good cup of strong coffee oranything else with a good dose of caffeine in it and I wondered if this was fairly common or not. Any comments, other than those about whether Coke or Pepsi is better :), are welcome.

Caffeine actually has no effect on me. It doesn't relax me and it doesn't keep me awake at night. I know lots of people who complain that caffeine keeps them up at night, but it doesn't do a darn thing to me!

Yes, caffine has a relaxing effect on me too. It takes alot though, around 100oz. I always wondered if it was really my body not being able to process the sugar.

I'm the same as Kami... I could drink a six pack of Coke or have several cups of coffee with barely any effect at all. However, I do notice that No-Doz can make me wired.

Strange...

I know exactly how you feel. After I have a nice latte or a tall cup of black, I feel very lucid, and very relaxed

WTF...caffeine is a stimulant...

It doesn't matter what you feel, you have more energy- although only for a short period of time.

Soda (pepsi, coke, etc.) puts my wife to sleep. Yea, I guess it has a relaxing effect on her.

i read that small amounts of caffiene is a stimulant but consuming large amounts makes it a depressant.

I know caffeine is supposed to be a stimulant zippy, but for some odd reason I can drink two mugs of strong coffee (no it's not decaf) and immediately go to sleep. Maybe I just take in too much caffeine and I've developed a dependance on it. ;)

I would say that it has the same effect as ritalin (a stimulant used to calm ADHD children). At least for some people, anyway.

Depends,
its relaxing at night.
But gets me going when I have to go to work in the morn.
