I dislike republicans & democrats equally at this point, the colors of their jerseys may be different colors, but they're both playing for the same team. But I am happy when neither side has a rubber stamp to pass through whatever they want. Listening to people whine & make excuses today has been like music to my ears.

OP, sorry, I think you are badly misguided, cheering the 'gridlock' while Rome burns, unable to understand what the country needs as the agenda of the rich is doing just fine, while any fixes are blocked. People like you are the enablers of the corrupt, uninformed and supporting an agenda you don't know you are supporting.

Can you point me to the "make the rich incredibly richer" bill that said "the bottom 80% of Americans the last 30 years will get none of the economic growth after inflation, it will be funneled almost entirely to the very top, as a radical redistribution of wealth'?

No, you can't point to me to that bill, and say it would never pass as some radical right-wing bill against the interests of a large majority of Americans?

You're right, the bill did not pass saying that - but that is the result of our policies, anyway, so we may as well have passed that bill.

It's the result of our tax choices (like the Bush tax cuts, which they say will still account for 60% of the deficit years from now), regulatory choices, etc.

Do you remember them passing the 'We love the bankers' act saying to increase the share of the profits our economy gives to the finance industry from 10% to 40%?

No, you don't remember that bill? And yet, that is another of the effects of the bills we have passed. And you demand that we block any reforms.

Cheering gridlock is good when the other proposal is to fan the flames your way.

Thinking that gridlock in government will lead to acceptable governance is about as naive as thinking that putting on cruise control and a steering wheel lock is a replacement for actual driving.
