I have two credit cards that I use regularly. One is a MBNA and the other is issued through my bank(no it is not a debit or check card it is a credit card). I also have a check card but I rarely use it. Since my MBNA gives me one reward point for everything I charge, I use it 99% of the time. After a day of charging on my MBNA, I will make a payment online if I spend more than 100 dollars. If not I wait until I spend 100 dollars. This prevents me from ever going over my limit or charging up too much. Since I get a crapload of reward points I run money through the MBNA constantly.

Does this make sense?

people with good fiscal discipline can get lots of free stuff using reward cards, for them, this is a Good Idea

american express reward points got me several free airline tickets back when i used to travel on business ALL the time

but some people would just run the CC up to the limit and then take 33 years to pay it back, those types should avoid this idea like the plague

So you pay it off before it's due? I always pay my credit card in full and I can limit myself to spending but dang it's hard sometimes not to spend. I just ordered those headphones from amazon and I'm pumping money into my case right now to make it Bling Bling:D:D

It's always good to be able to pay that stuff off right away. I have lots of friends that carry a max balance on their cards. I had to go on a few trips last month so I do have a balance on my cards, but that'll hopefully be cleared out by January at the latest. Plane tix are expensive. ;)
