Just got mine in.

I work out on a Gazelle Power Plus. I bought it inspite of the cheesy infomercials and I really like it.

I do a 32 minute workout:

15 minute warm-up
10 minute HITT
7 minute cool down

I do it everyday, but from what I've been reading I may want to cut back to 3 - 4 times a week to prevent muscle loss.

Well, starting this week I will. Seeing what army-style smoking has done to my friend's stamina, I'm going to start running every morning (instead of, well, sporadically :p), working my way up to Ft. Benning PT level. :p If only I had a bigass hill.

If I wake up early enough (that is, if I wasn't up late doing problem sets or writing papers), then I like to hit the ice rink in the morning to run some skating drill; it's usually empty, and it's nice to have the rink almost to myself.

For Hector: if you exercise for about 30 minutes in the morning, an empty stomach won't hurt, and can actually be beneficial (esp. if trying to lose weight). But a longer or later workout on an empty stomach is unhealthy.

I wouldn't recommend HIIT in the morning on an empty stomach regardless of how long you are doing it for.

if you are afraid of muscle loss, try adding a little bit of protien, via shakes, bars, more food with high protein what not. But that should help prevent alot of muscle loss.

I have a protein shake in the morning after breakfast and in the evening before bed. I add 2 g of glutamine also.

No. I usually run in the afternoon (after school). In the summer, I run in the morning, because it's too warm in the afternoon.

My daily run is around 10+ miles.

One serving is 20 g of protein and I mix it with water.

My breakfast consists of 1/2 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup milk, 1 kiwi, and 1/2 cup of plain full fat yogurt.

I usually do my cardio, shower, eat breakfast, drink my protein/glutamine shake, and then head to work.

Yes, I take a multi-vitamin as well as extra vitamins B12, floic acid, c and e and calcium and magnesium.

You're right. I didn't read the HIIT bit in his post, I just read "32 minute workout" and figured it wasn't too high intensity, because I can't do that in the morning on an empty stomach.

I can't imagine trying to chug down that stuff first thing in the morning.I like fat free cottage cheese mixed with a bit of unsweetened applesauce though,it's easy on the palate and doesn't give me that overfull feeling that's so uncomfortable first thing in the morning.

Bytw,as the weather warms up I'll be resuming my daily walk to work ritual in addition to late afternoon cardio at the gym,a 30 minute walk at a brisk pace starts the day off nicely.

Yeah, I often work out in the morning.

First, I use a 16oz glass of unsweetened cranberry juice with flax seed meal and my seasilver mixed in to wash down an systemic enzyme.

Then some mornings I'll lift weights for 15 min., most mornings not, then it's on to 45 minutes on my NordicTrak(4 mi., 5.6 mph).

Then on to a big breakfast salad using flax seed oil and cider vinegar as dressing.

Before you anoint me as a saint , it says "morbidly obese" next to my name on my medical records.

I always work out about two hours after I eat breakfast so I will have the energy to really push myself. I've tried without eating breakfast and I don't seem to have the same energy. I usually have a bowl of oatmeal and some applesause for breakfast though I ocasionally have some egg beaters. When I get back from my workout I have a Protien Shake and some lunch which usually consists of either Chicken or Turkey. That regimen seems to work fine for me as I am able to stay trim and get good results at the gym.

I bike 15 min to work in the morning, if that counts. Usually I lift weights before I bike home at night.
