just saw it. that movie is wacked! Something about Beethoven mixed w/ wanton violence seems completely wrong to me. or seeing someone get raped to "singing in the rain" i dunno.....

watch it drunk, it really messes with your head.

good movie though, took a few times of seeing it though before i deemed it good

how old is it? (full metal jacket)? is kubrik still around, or has he been deceased. I haven't heard of any movies by him in the last long while... wait... how old is clockwork? 1970?

his most recent movie was Eyes Wide Shut and i think he died right before it was done or something.

He died 2 or 3 years ago. Right before "Eyes Wide Shut"(his final film) was released. "Dr. Strangelove" is my fav Kubrik film. "2001" is amazing (I even liked "Eyes Wide Shut," I really don't care for "Full Metal Jacket."

"How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly, thou." 😀

I just love the language.

disturbing, especially for the time it was released, pretty amazing he made it. it was banned in england for a long time from what i remember. he also made the shining, eyes wide shut(as americans we got the digitally edited version.. damn censors), and he thought of making ai for a long time.. passed it onto spielberg and was gonna produce it but died.

read the book, the book is 10 times better, but the movie is definetly good, i have the CWO poster on my wall :---)

I liked Clockwork(great behavior modification movie), I really liked Full Metal Jacket, and I thought Eyes wide shut sucked major a$$!

Kubrik is an excellent director. One of my favorite directors.

A Clockwork Orange was an excellent movie IMO. You have to think on it though. I think what was trying to be said was that if you take away a persons ability to make bad decisions, and be evil (like they did with the main character *forgot his name), then that person is no longer really human. Free will is an essential part of being a human being.

My mom had the soundtrack (LP), i remember asking her what the movie was about when i was like 8 or 9, after looking at the soundtrack pics. she wouldn't tell me.. now i know why. It was a great record though. I think i'll pull it out tomorrow.

Alex was the main character. I have liked all the Stanley Kubrick movies I have seen, but then again I havent seen Eyes Wide Shut. My favorite was also Dr. Strangelove.
