anyone else disappointed with the WWF pay-per-view last night?

I was expecting great things in that cage match, but was a little disappointed. Of course, it should've been Stone Cold knocking Rakishi off the cage, but what was the sense of using a hay truck to tear off the cage door other than the obvious reason of someone falling off the cage onto it?

The women's triple threat match was actually pretty damn good until it ended abruptly and stupidly.

Yeah, I'm fully aware it's not real. It's all entertainment factor for me. I just like seeing people get thrown off a 20 foot cage into a table. That way, there isn't an OBVIOUS mat laying beneath the rubble. Like last night, when Rikishi fell into the hay or wood chip truck or whatever the hell it was, there was an obvious mat underneath, much like there always is when someone gets thrown off the stage or the Shane vs Blackman match a few months ago when they fell like 40 feet into a big mat with just cloth stuff covering it.

Complain? When did I complain? Just stating my opinion on the recent pay per view, as you are stating your opinion by indicating what I like to watch is stupid. Atleast state your opinion without trying to state what I watch is wrong.

Why do some of you people think wrestling is wrong anyways? I just don't get it. It's a form of entertainment. It's like me discriminating against you because you like horror movies with lots of gore and blood, or you like to hunt and kill living animals, or you like to whore around and sleep with as many people of the opposite sex as you can. Not a likely comparison, I know, but it's all based on the same ideas.

And yes, cxim, I am assuming you either think wrestling is wrong or don't like it for some reason.

And by the way, horror movies kick ass, deer hunting is alright, and whoring around is always acceptable.

yeah, forget them, i dont care what people say wrestling is fun to watch. its not like anyone can do it, there is a discipline and few make it, as in any sport.

I have made no value judgment as to morals or ethics....

So I guess where we part company is...

You know that it is a staged production ( & we are not talking about who wins or loses )... It is like a screen play... or a ballet..

from my view... when it starts... because of the past... it is likely to be junk... in the past is has been junk most of the time... more than 50% of the shows are...

The junk content is so high, that anyone that complains of it & pays for it, is, ahh, well, lacking....

But I'm not complaining about it, just seeing if anyone else was sorta disappointed by the outcome. You never know if something is going to be good or not before you buy the viewing rights to it. I'm sure you've went to the movies or rented a movie, only to watch it and not think it was worth it.

I agree with that statement..to a certain extent. A lot of stuff on the WWF is stupid, VERY stupid. But, like this board, beneath it all there's good stuff too. Have you ever seen a great match? I'm sure you, like the millions of other ignorant people out there have seen maybe a few minutes of the &quot;free&quot; stuff on TV, and have made a quick judgment on it, which sticks throughout all your judging.

I don't blame you though, the WWF always saves the good (and SUPER good stuff) for PPV. There's never been a man falling 16 feet through a cage twice and backdropped on tacks; a match in which two athletes give an extraodinary match working almost non-stop for 60 straight minutes; two guys absolutely brutalizing each other for nearly half an hour losing more more blood than most people have ever seen in their lives.

It's all scripted, there's NO secret to it, but a guy can't bleed unless he's cut, you can't get set on fire without being ignited, and you can't fall repeatedly throughout a match without damaging your back or suffer weekly injuries.

I will have to say, the only truly entertaining and real thing I've seen from the WWF is when bret,owen? hart fell and kissed the turnbuckle. Can't fake that.
