Like some of his music but not all. IMHO he is like a lot of the 80's guitarists and his solos tend to end up sounding like an angry bumble bee. It's not about how many notes you can cram into a solo, it's about the feel and soul of the solo.
While Yngwie is an excellent player that has mastered a number of techniques and proven himself a capable player, he has made himself appear brash and arrogant, which has turned a number of people off from buying his albums. I used to listen to him religously in the early 90's along with Joe, Steve, and Eric.
