Anyone else deal with Frame Relay?

I just had two facilities in Greenville, AL lose all voice and data communication. Both use AT&T frame relay, so I'm assuming that either AT&T has a problem with their network, or there has been a fiber cut.

I was just curious if anyone else deals with frame relay, actually. 😛

I've got one frame relay and one T1 point-to-point provided by Qwest out here. Most of the outages I've had over the years have been due to one of their technicians pulling the wrong card or otherwise messing up their facilities while trying to repair something else.

12 connections, mostly 128 KBs fractional T1s from small sattelite offices to a central property. Mostly done because we use an AS/400 at the central site that all the properties need to enter financial data in to. We have Worldcom 😛

I work for AT&T, I make sure if there is a fiber cut that the appropriate group gets their alarms.

You work for AT&T? So I can blame you when things go wrong! 😛

Just kidding. Last I heard from an ATT tech, seems the local provider in Greenville, AL is having some problems.

I just scanned the worklist that would see cable cuts and t3 failures and I didn't see anything. So it could be the last mile like the tech said.

I deal with around 100 or so.

Off the top of my head that's the Qwest Frame Relay repair line, new ticket center for the Midwest region.

Bellsouth is particularly bad about that, They came to my company to set up our new T1, then sent a different guy the next day to lable the lines. His approch to it was to start unplugging things and watching to see what got turned off when he did - moron.
