I trying being better at school, I show up to work late and the boss chews me out and I almsot get fired every other day🙁

Get a job where they understand that school comes first. Of course, don't slack off at work just because of the leniency either.

Doint it right now.

4.5 hours of sleep a night, every night, 7 days a week. Be disciplined...it is in you.....

I did it fine, but I let the social life go for it. Then I decided to let work go the semester after that, which was an ever worse idea cause I was completely broke for 3 months. So now its going to be back to no social life with lots of money.

yes

I tried going back to school to 'improve myself' academically. What a waste of time that was (Now I'm close to adding a math minor though).

Yep, a 40 hour work week with a 13-16 credit semester load every single semester... was usually going to class 5 days a week during my freshie and sophmore years.
During my junior/senior years, I enrolled in my college's Distance Learning program which offers classes online/video tapes.... which really eased the burden!!! You might wanna check that out. But be warned... distance learning sucks. U can't\won't learn anything because it isn't an effective medium to teach IMO. It worked out great for me coz I already had a pretty good handle on the stuff they were teaching (mainly computer/programming courses).
Siva is right though... I basically had no social life whatsoever for the past 4 years. I'm graduating in December though... I guess it was worth it 🙂!

BTW, what are you majoring in?

I admire you.

Electrical Engineering

I'm a full time student and have two part-time jobs. And I'm pretty damn good at all three! 🙂

Seriously though, you'll be happy you did it when you're done. 🙂

Actually when I was going to college (almost 4 years ago) My grades were better when I had a job. It put me in perspective of my priorities and stopped goofing around as much. I had a schedule between work and school therefore gave me good incentives to stay on top of things.

meh...I did it for 4 years, and the last 2 I had 2 jobs, worked 20-30 hrs a week, while being a full time student in Computer Engineering, I survived...I just didn't ever sleep.

You can do it man, you have the fightin' spirit in ya'.

I work and school also. Being a pre-nursing student at the same time, sacrificing my weekend and my friday on a 9 hour-10 hour job a day. Gosh ~!!@!#@Q$@$

sometimes on-campus jobs (working at the library, cafeteria, recreation center, etc.) are pretty willing to go around your schedule if you have tests coming up or need to do homework or something.

Keep at it.........did a degree during days and worked evenings/nights.....both full-time.

The only way to make it work was to forego any outside-life activities, or jsut about. Life became either school or work. Sucks in the short-term but ends up aying off in the long-term. Just keep at it.

Oh, and remember, weekends aren't for partying, they're for catching up on papers, reading, etc., at least as long as you're in class.

Actually I've found that when I went to school and had a job I always did much better for some reason.
