Anyone else check out King Kong?

Lots of action for a 3 hour show...got in for free as there is a promo going until Jan 06 of you buy the Mummy 3 pak DVD series( $19 @ Frys), free ticket in the box set. I think there were also 2 other packages available.

It was pretty entertaining. The first half hour or so was horrible and the thing was loooooooooooong, but entertaining.

It I didnt have to pee half the movie I woulda liked it more.... but it was a very very well done movie IMO. Some of the scenes were a bit drawn out but thats how Peter Jackson rolls.


I especially liked the dinosour scenes, they were some of the best of any movies ever. Far better than Jurrasic Park, IMO.

Overall i thought it was pretty entertaining but there were too many parts that were way too stupid. Far too many scenes that killed the movie for me.

looks like the box office $$$ for it are falling short of the hype

i don't think they'll get their $300 million at this rate
