Anyone else chat using punctuation?

Mrvile

Lifer
I always chat in AIM using punctuation, most people I talk to used to think it was really weird but now they're all used to it. The only time I don't use punctuation is when I'm playing a game that requires insanely fast typing (like CS, but in that case I just use the mic). I think it adds more feeling into the words and is closer to directly talking to them than using just letters "u, i, sup, nmu, etc." I found that I have great punctuation and rarely make mistakes, does anyone else type like this all the time? Example:

Me: Hey man, what's up?
Them: not much u
Me: Lot's of homework, busy all the time...
Them: sux
Me: Yeah.

I'm the same, with a few exceptions. Sometimes I don't capitalize, but I place it's importance behind punctuation. 😛

I feel odd chatting to people who use punctuation. While I've always been turned off by stuff like n2m, lol, g2g, sup and the likes, I never go as far as typing it out perfectly. I feel like I'm doing too much work for nothing.

It's "its" not "it's". Just thought someone who "places importance behind punctuation" might want to know that.

The only thing I don't do is double space between sentences. I even go as far as the single quotation mark when dialogue in dialogue, eg. "And it was crazy, he said, 'Ew you're a gay fart!' and I was about ready to kill him!"

PONED!! 😛

I usually use punctuation. If it's just a single statement, I usually omit the ending period. Otherwise if I use several sentences I properly terminate them all, same thing goes with a question.

On AIM I type in all lower case except for non-internet related acronyms, and I don't use periods at the ends of sentences unless I'm trying to emphasize it (edit: or typing more than one line). I use all other forms of punctuation.
Everywhere else I type normally.
