Work usually dress pants and a polo.

Going out, jeans and a polo.

Just hanging around the house, shorts and a cotton under shirt.

Going to the store or something thats not dinner, then either jeans or shorts and either a t-shirt or polo.

considering my work clothes that I'm in right now are a pair of shorts and a tshirt with tennis shoes, i tend to dress this way a lot when I'm not in work.

so no.

I'd call myself paranoid and not an old fart if I started doing that - work clothes for me are flame resistant coveralls, hardhat, goggles, steel-toe boots, and an H2S detector. . .

Hahah, only when I go out in the feild.

The only difference between office wear and casual wear is that in the office I had a polo over my t-shirt and I tuck my shirt into my jeans - other than that it's jeans, t-shirt, boots, and a belt. Pretty much always.

I actually don't have a dress code anymore, but when I did, I purchased button-down shirts that were more on the social / casual side and wore them to work. I don't think a guy ever looks ridiculous in a nice shirt and slacks when going out on dates or hanging out with friends. So I would always make sure that the shirts I purchased would look "ok" at work and good in a social setting.

These days I still do the same with shirts but I also make sure they look good with jeans since I can wear them at work.

I'm the same.

I have a lot of polo shirts, shirts and casual/dress slacks, so that's usually what I wear after work.

However, on the weekends I'm usually wearing jeans or shorts, a t-shirt and sandals.

Can't really make a conclusion on this. I'll wear whatever I like at home - and going out, depends on the situation.

Out to dinner with the Mrs at a decent place? Business casual, shirt untucked.
Out to a Big Event(TM)? Hitman.
Out to the store to grab a bunch more lumber? Whatever I happen to have on that's legal.

I catch myself doing it sometimes, but because Houston tends to be so hot, I usually change out of stuffy clothes the moment I get home.

TShirt and Jeans for me or cargo shorts and jeans for the most part.

I dress up a lot because I work in the financial district of Canada's largest city and everyone else is dressed up. It's a bit of a bummer since my own company does web hosting and nobody cares how you dress...but the looks you get in the elevator and food courts sort of push you to going business casual.

It's sort of nice anyways. Distinguishes you from the student crowd.

What's your excuse?

By the time I get home from work to drop my stuff off, it's usually around 9ish so if I want to get some dinner I just don't bother dressing up.

Welcome to geezerdom.

I see lots of the geezers around town who have been retired for years wearing at least part of their old work uniforms. We have one guy who retired from UPS about 30 some odd years ago who still wears his UPS cap everywhere. I wonder if he wears it to bed?

Actually, I tend to wear to work whatever I happened to be wearing in my normal life at that time.

Sometimes it's full on suit, sometimes business casual, sometimes semi-formal, often a tshirt and khakis, occasionally a FILTY DIRTY tshirt and khakis (I don't wear jeans. Just not my thing.)
