Anyone else becoming enough of an old fart to start wearing "work" clothes even at home and casual outings?

This is a question to those who wear business casual (ie: suits without jacket or ties) to full out suit and ties.

What's your excuse?

By the time I get home from work to drop my stuff off, it's usually around 9ish so if I want to get some dinner I just don't bother dressing up.

Our office is fairly casual, so I usually don't change when I get home.

When I travel, I'll change out of my dress shoes and slacks into a pair of jeans before going out to get something to eat.

I wear my zoo shirts all the time :p

I have like 20 of them after working there for four years.... seems like a waste to not where them when I need more shirts.

I think if i dressed like you do for work I wouldn't bother changing to go out to dinner. But if I'm already at home wearing gym clothes, or sweats, I would not put on the business casual to go socialize.

No, I can't wait to change and get comfortable.

I won't dress up much going out unless we're going somewhere nice. At home as little as possible is usually worn.

I like my work clothes I wear to work. All smart and they are all comfortable so I don't mind wearing them out. Nothing boring about them.

Casual is without a tie for me :p.

I wear work casual and quickly change when I get home unless I have some plans later that evening for which I am already properly dressed.

I wear tshirts and jeans to work.

Ditto. I don't EVER want a job where I have to wear a tie.

It's not *that* bad. ;) I did it for several years... you just get used to it.

Now I just wear black pants & a polo, most of the time. I still occasionally wear a suit, though. Depends on what all I have to do that day.

Oh, and I just wear 'whatever' when I go out casually... that is, whatever fits the situation. At my last job, it was common for me to go to casual outings wearing dress pants + a pressed shirt, because that's what I was more used to.

Now, most of the time, it's jeans and a t-shirt.

I dress up a lot. Probably because I own more buisness casual clothes than anything else.

I have never really 'dressed for occassion'. If a job has a required uniform or style I'll wear it. Otherwise I wear whatever I feel like. I don't dress to go out or any other such societal nonesense. The exception would be weddings and funerals. Except for those two times I'm as likely to wear my pajamas or sweats as anything else.
