JUST WONDERING. :D

Is it laziness or some bizarre form of artistic expression? I suspect the first!

no. i really don't understand what the big deal is, maybe they have a broken shift key/ how do you know that they aren't poor, and can't afford a new keyboard/ maybe you should just be nice for once.

I don't mind if the first letter of every sentence isn't capitalized as long as proper punctuation is used.

I can understand leaving out capitals sometimes- if a post is quickly done, a "nef" post, or somesuch, who cares. But there are some members on the boards who NEVER use capital letters, and it gets aggravating. Combine that with substandard spelling and punctuation and their posts become unreadable.

/me is not mentioning any names. ;)

What really bugs me is when people don't put spaces in between comas or periods. It really, really bugs me.One person on here does it constantly and I can't even read their posts because of it.

A lot of the idiosyncrasies of kids today bug me. Their damn bumpin' car amps playing bass line BS strictly for the sake of annoying people. Ball caps worn backwards, baggy dragging pants, probably out of style now, who knows? Saying ekcetera and prolly. Putting a 'z' instead of an 's' at the end of a word. Alternating cApz aNd lOwErCaSe is REALLY ignorant! Certainly ain't kEwL :|

Not capitalizing is just another sign of how lazy they are. Must suck to get in that habit an then try to type a term paper. Duh!

its very annoying and hard to read when people not only dont use capital letters but completely disregard punctuation grammar and overall legible writing skills because it makes it hard to follow what the hell the person is saying you know what i mean not to mention all the damn spelling errors even though im not websters i at least know the difference between lose and loose leary and leery rediculous and ridiculous

So does anyone remember
our dear friend Hyper99
who wrote every post like
he was composing poetry
with line breaks all over
the place? Then again,
wasn't Hyper99 actually one
of the regular members just
being cute, a la Thunderbooty?

Hah! I really doubt that all, or even the majority of people in here that don't capalize the proper letters are kids (whatever age group that is).

Hmm well i don't capatalize my "i"s because i don't feel i'm that important to make it stand out. But i ought to work on my punctuation more.

Ark, don't take it personally, but it's been getting on my nerves since day 1 - why is your signature alternate caps/lowercase? I also don't understand half the stuff in there, but I'll leave that question for another time...

Depends upon the situation. On AT I try to maintain some semblance of proper grammar, but if I am dashing off a quick E-mail to a friend or something along that line I tend to neglect capitalization, grammar, and spelling. I always use punctuation though, things just aren't clear enough otherwise.

That second line has been part of my sig since day one. Briefly added a bit bout wombat woman. Then had some links; then the rig id came. But now the rig link takes too much, so I figure, if everyone else has the entire link, I could post just my number. and this line:
I worship stupidity, you're my new GOD: MODS
is a quote from a star treck book, but got the boot.

The 976% is a number, I use to mean something uncomplete, but already it's over shot it's original planned lifespan.
kAoss is kind of the name of my pc, and it used to be the link to my rig on anandtech

personally, if it's easy to read--ok.
if it's not easy to read, then it's polite to capitalize.
i've seen it both ways when people don't capitalize.

then again, some people are just anal and want everything the same, or their way only....

On a lighter note, this reminded me of a guy I work with that just got a new PC for Christmas. It was $1,800 for a friggen Hewlett Packard, but that's another story.

Anyway, one other guy was telling him to sign up for DSL and I was suggesting he go with a dial-up till he learned the ropes. We were going back and forth for a while about whether he should pay the premium for DSL since he was just learning. We had no idea what a newbie he was, till he asked, "How do you make capital letters?" He's on dial-up now...
