Not at work right now, but I will be working during spring break, which I get in two weeks. Plan on working mon-fri that week. Need the $$ to pay for all the concert ticks and fun stuff I want for my car. Oh well, you get what you give I suppose.

Well I won't be working during spring break, going home to relax for a week. But check this, I'm a desk attendant, and although I make good money, ($9 an hour for sitting at a desk doing whatever I want, usually homework, or surfing the web) my shifts are 8pm till 4am Friday, and 8pm till 4am Saturday night, worst shifts ever, but whatever, I'd probably be in studio if I wasn't working...

Last year, during Thanksgiving, DA's that stayed got payed $20 and hour! Don't know if they will do that during spring break...

HOLY, those are some crazy shifts! Most shifts here are 2 hours during the day during the week, for night shifts and weekend shifts they are allocated in 4 hour blocks. How much do they pay you at your school?

It's 6 something for the day shifts, and 9 bucks for graveyard shifts (12am-8am), and 8pm-12am shifts on Friday and Saturday nights.

Damn, I'm feeling lucky about the way Carnegie handles the DA shifts here. 5 nights a week? Damn, I guess you get all your work done during that time, problem with me is, it's a pain for me to bring my drafting board over, so I still need time in studio to finish up my work.

But damn, 5 nights a week, that's like a full time job! Supporting your gas guzzling domestic? (just kidding dude)...

I'm working on my spring break right now. I'm off tomorrow night though:) My shifts are:

Saturday night - 7pm till 7am Sunday
Sunday Night - 7pm till 7am Monday.

Do I win the award for worst shifts?

At least it's $16/hour (Desk guy as well.)

Well, as a DA at my school, I provide the following services: information, phone numbers, resident look ups, change, selling of laundry tokens, renting out of equipment such as stuff for the rec room, vacuums and the like. I also let students in who don't have their ids and such. In addition, if you have a graveyard shift, you are suppose to do nightly rounds.

Overall, the job is very easy and pays pretty good money, I just sit here and do my homework, or post like I am doing now. Luckily, I work over at one of the upperclassmen dorms which are usually quiet. I subbed for my friend once over at a freshman dorm, and the phone was ringing of the hook, and mad people were walking in and out.

lol I worked TWO jobs my spring break.

Monday; Desk job, leave 8 AM get home 6 PM
Tuesday: Ditto Monday
Wednesday: Work my retail (non-break) job from 5-9:30, so I enjoy the beautiful day and go on a picnic with my girl
Thursday: Desk job, ditto monday
Friday: Desk job, ditto Monday
Saturday: Retail 5-9:30
Sunday: off...

My desk job is much higher paying than my retail, but I only do it during breaks. I worked my ass off so I could get my speakers.

Sh*t, my old job required us to work from 6AM to ????. I remember working from 8AM to 11PM one night!

However, those hours were for only special projects when they processed mutual fund conversions!
