Anyone else annoyed (or at least notice) hip-hop now using techno beats?

Kinda started with T-Pain, since he used Autotune in his songs (yes I know Autotune style is old but I meant for hiphop).

Now, it seems like every pop hip hop/rap song now uses techno influence. One example being the Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" but there are a TON others (I just can't remember them)

For some reason, this annoys me -- I can't figure out why but it does. I really like techno (like this song) so I assume that has something to do with it?

Well they've sampled, Rock, Country and now Techno, next they will tackle Opera.

I can't link to YouTube from work, but Mobb Deep has a song called Nessun Dorma which samples Nessun Dorma from Turandot. So yeah, it's been done.

This isn't new. Hell, a lot of the beats are from electronica in general, and house, drum and bass as examples.

They are just getting less crafty about how they make the newer hip-hop. Different class of people - a lot of listeners out there eat this shit right up. I can handle the pure hip-hop stuff, but most modern rap is trash. Most new music in general is trash... but whatever.

While I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop, I prefer it over the song you're linking to here.

Yo, see cats got confused somewhere man (confused)

Or what hip-hop is, (it's business yo) you know it
It's all business

You know that's bullshit, right? That's awesome dude talk, awesome dude talk
But if you want to make money yo, I got it broke down though
I got it broke down, (break it down yo)
You got hip-hop, then you got hip-pop
Hip-pop? (hip-pop)
Alright, (but a lot of cats want pop)
Yes, (know what I'm sayin')
It used to be real hip
You got the top forty version of hip-hop
I still got something else, something else that I wanna get off my chest
What? (know what I'm sayin'?)

Whoa, I'm not typically one to harp on someone else's musical likes, but damn, that song was horrible. Shockingly horrible. :Q

Uhm.... techno and rap are in the same vein. Synthesized beats. Although I do know what you're talking about, and I actually like it.

Also new is sampling NEW music. Up until now this hasn't been messed around with... usually producers sampled old music. I really like the new stuff (EXAMPLE). And I also like techno a lot.

Rap and electronic music both grew out of the same scene, they just went in different directions.

This is nothing new.
