Anyone else amused by people wanting to buy stuff on BF because its cheap

At compusa last night, lots of people had the lists of what they wanted to buy. Oh, a flash drive for $9.99! I better pick one up. What does that do again?

I love it. People want to buy stuff only because its cheap. You could sell poop in a box for $5 AR and people would buy it.

meh people go on a shopping frenzy even if it's not cheap. I didn't see any good deals on anything this thanksgivig

Which store? Do you think I'm too late to get in on this?

I remember there was an artist who, out of sarcasm for modern art, made "poop in a can" and custom made labels for it.

People actually wanted to buy it.

I think it was worth $20,000 a can at one point. After being in a can for long periods of time, apparently the gases from the fecal matter cause the cans to rupture so there has been an ever decreasing number of these cans of poop left.

So which is worse, people buying poop in a can on BF for $5 AR, or paying $20,000 a can anytime during the year?

in our society, people get a high from buying stuff... buying things makes people feel good. or so some circles suggest. the heart of consumerism... gotta love it 🙂
Yes, almost as amusing as all the people waiting in line complaining about commercialism and saying this is an example of holiday spirit at its finest. I'm sure they have better reasons for being there though...

I camped outside BestBuy for about 4 hours, but it was well worth it. Within the first 5 minutes, the $150 eMachines system and the $169 MAG 19" LCD were cleared out - with me holding a couple of them 😀. To top that off, the local BestBuy was having a $15 giftcard for every $100 spent deal going on. Missed out on the lappy deals though 🙁

I find it funny that some people stand in line to save some $$, but then pay it all back in the interest rates they are charged by their credit card companies.

What interest rate? I pay the CC bills immediately 😉

I wouldn't give more than 20 bucks for poop in a can.
If 20 bucks was retail, I wouldn't pay that either. 😀
