Anyone else afraid to take vacation?

I have a week of vacation that I earned last year that I haven't taken yet but I'm afraid to take it in this economy.... (I can carry over one week into the next year)

No money, no time, currently sitting on seven weeks of saved up vacation time.

not really, though I'm going to have to have a talk with my new boss when I start in my new position next month... I've got a vacation planned in July that I can't really reschedule or get out of (family thing, likely the last time I'll see my grandmother alive)

if you are so worried, then take them one at a time and space them out. If your job is that wishy washy then I'd be looking for another job on the side.

Nope. I've got a month worth of vacation planned in the next 3 months.

i'm concerned about spending the money.
the real estate company through which i've rented a beach house the past 6 years keeps sending me percent off codes which is something they have never done before.

Unemployment doesn't judge me if I take a vacation.

The rule I've always lived by is never take more than a week off at a time. If they can get along without you for more than a week then they might decide you're not needed. But a week is a solid time for vacation.
