I've been really disappointed with the Texas Roadhouse near us. It's only a few months old, but the handful of times we've been there have been enough to keep us from going back anytime soon. Most of the issues we've run into have been service related, but the food hasn't been good either. I've tried their ribs twice and they weren't good either time. One time they were scorched so bad you had to saw off what little meat there was with a steak knife. And last time my wife had a chunk of wood the size of a lump of charcoal perched in plain view on top of her salad (which was her entree.)

We've got a $25 gift certificate to the place (basically a free meal the manager gave us in addition to the free meal we got last time due to the crappy service) but I'm not sure if we'll ever use it.

Fortunately, there's no shortage of places here in Birmingham where you can get good ribs.

best ribs i've ever hand, and have had probably 10 times are in omaha, Nebraska. place called charlestons. and its a nice restaurant. Doesnt need to be a sh*thole to have good ribs.

The ribs are great, but watch out. They make your pee smell bad the next day.
