Sometimes I will bring in a cold glass of ice water into the shower with me or I'll put it on the sink outside the shower and a take a few sips while I'm in the shower. I often take long and warm showers which leaves me feeling tired and muggy.

Anyone ever try this?

power shower?
 Isn't having a beer in the shower where golden shower comes from?

That might be where it begins. If you drink so much as to drink while showering, anythning is possible.
Ask JohnCU.
When he comes back I mean.

Turn the water to cold before you get out. That'll wake you up.

If by "long and muggy" you mean "fap filled", then that's the source of your problem right there. Lay off the fapping and you won't work up such a thirst.

It's not much to keep me awake but to keep me from being thirsty.

I've tried it. Sometimes I have trouble stopping the water because no matter how hot I put it, I'm still freezing cold. I'm always frozen in the morning. So I'll force it to cold and that tap gets turned off FAST. Problem is, at that point I'm nearly in hypothermia state. :p

A man need not spend more than 2-3 minutes in the shower. Period.

You cannot be serious.

I shave, brush my teeth, shampoo, condition, soap, and the generally "steam shower" myself to open up the pores in my skin.

Step in, shampoo, soap, face wash, rinse = 2 minutes. If you shave and brush your teeth more time may be allotted, but in no case should a pore opening steam shower be applied.
