Just got into it and was looking at the amount of paddles available and was wondering if anyone has some experience with different materials and makers.
I've only used a wooden one so far, and so I do not know how the lack of flex a carbon fiber one will affect me.
I've seen a carbon fiber one that was made to flex like a wood one, but after seeing a review the quality was not great.
So if any fellow dragonboaters have recommendations on what sort of paddle to get, that'd be great. Additionally, if you know happen to know any good dealers with great prices, that would be fantastic as well.
Also, best place to get a personal flotation device (PFD), REI has a clearance sale this weekend so I might hit them to see if I can snag one.
Thanks!
