Hey guys

I have been having nothing but headaches with my A7m266 Board (i have the latest bios, Athlon 1.4Ghz/266, WinXP, 512MB Crucial Ram, 400W PSU, Maxtor 20GB HDD, IBM Deskstar 20GB hdd, and a Seagate 60GB HDD, ATI Rage Pro 128 AIW, ECHO Darla Sound card { [L=]http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/studio/darla.html [/L]}) . This piece of sh!t system i have continually reboots for no reason and blue screens. I have reinstalled WinXP about 7 times (WinXP has its own 5GB partition) in the last 2 months. Here is also a little tidbit of info, whenever i go to shut down my comp or restart it WinXP freezes at the part where it says "Windows XP is shutting down". I have to push the restart button 2 times before it will boot up and sometimes the board drops the FSB down to 100MHz.... sorry to rant on so long about this but to top it off I just spent $600 on a M-Audio Delta 1010 (8in/8out sound card {[L=]http://www.midiman.com/products/m-audio/delt1010.php[/L]} ) so that I could do some remixing and whenever I put the card in the PCI slot the computer will not POST. My question is this:

I just bought a brand new Soyo Dragon+ MB (because all of my coworkers said the board was rock solid and all of the reviews were so impressive) and I want to know if ppl have had any trouble with installing equipment like mine?

thank to all that took the time to read

Are you dual booting 2 windows? Just wondering because you said XP has a 5gig partition, If so thats probably your problem, if not, it could be XP, wrong drivers, XP not liking the hardware.

I read the website you posted for the first card and it stated that it didn't have drivers for nt (XP is based on NT/2000), though the page seemed to be dated back to 98 or 99. Maybe there are newr drivers now?

Maybe the second soundcard needs to be in a busmaster pci slot? Which slot are you putting it in in the motherboard?

I really don't know I am not much of an audio file, but I do have a good background in computer hardware. What does the technical documentation say about the requirements?
